Smoothie bowls are a great way to get all your health benefits in one go. It is basically a smoothie served in a bowl with added extras such as fresh and or dried fruits, granola, nuts and seeds, nut butters and edible flowers. Greens are an important part of our diet and in this smoothie bowl you will love the beautiful green colour and flavour that is created when all the ingredients are combined together. No sugar or sweetening is added, the sweetness comes from the fruit. Be creative when it comes to decorating your smoothie bowl.
EQUIPMENT: Thermomix or blender
INGREDIENTS
20g or 1 cup curly kale or other kale leaves
10g or 1/4 cup spinach leaves
4g or 1 tablespoon fresh Italian parsley
4g or 1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves
45g avocado
50g starfruit
35g fresh banana
60g frozen pineapple
60g frozen mango
94g frozen banana
100ml coconut water
METHOD
*Prepare greens by washing and then chopping leaves into small pieces
*Peel and chop fruit
*Place all ingredients into a blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy
*Pour smoothie into a bowl and decorate with seasonal fresh fruit, dried fruits, nuts and seed, edible flowers.
